The whole world seems in revolt. Citizens everywhere are rising up and demanding sane and sensible governance. They are met with tear gas, clubs, armored vehicles and bullets. It's amazing. It's encouraging and yet disheartening. Men and women and children, peacefully protesting, are met with violence and brutality. And what is it that they're asking for? Fairness. Justice. A voice. This, apparently, is seen as unreasonable and destructive. Revolutionary.
We can see - the whole world can see - just how democratic these Democracies aren't.

“I know, up on top you are seeing great sights,
but down here at the bottom we, too, should have rights.”

So true...

Tuesday, May 29, 2012

I started a blog some years back as a means of venting my frustration with the way things were going.  It seemed a small thing, but it helped me cope while the Government destroyed the America I once knew.  I quit blogging because 1) the novelty wore off, and 2) my blog accomplished nothing.
There were/are many powerful/influential people out there who have been diligent to expose and oppose the actions of the American government.  And, at the risk of sounding defeated, their efforts have, it seems, been in vain.  The Government dismisses every critic and the Main Stream Media just ignores them.  So what possible effect could one lone voice have in the vastness of Cyberspace?  Little, I'm afraid.  But, I must say that I've decided to return to blogging not so much as a 'release', but rather because I want to make sure that there's a record somewhere that shows what camp I've pitched my tent in.
I'm not sure one man or woman or voice can actually make a difference anymore, but... many men and many women and many voices just may.  So I've decided to add to the Cyberspace chatter once more.  I just can't help it.

The truth shall set you free.

I've listened to this speech many times over the years, and marvel that it remains as relevant today as it was then.
